Men After the One is a faith-centered online community that calls men to intentionally seek out someone who may be walking in isolation or carrying a burden alone, and to walk beside him. The purpose of this group is to move faith into action, then return to the community to share the journey.
Whether you are walking alone or feel called to walk alongside another man, this space is built around action and testimony. Members are encouraged to share wins, struggles, questions, and encouragement that come from pursuing their one, creating a culture of accountability, growth, and shared faith. Some men will arrive needing to be found; others will come ready to go after someone else. In time, many will become both.
"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn't he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully places it on his shoulders." - Luke 15:4-5
The group operates through four intentional steps to guide these connections and relationships:
1. Pray
We begin by asking God to open our eyes to see men who are walking alone, and to give us the courage to step toward them.
2. Find the One
We seek to identify the man who God is calling us to walk alongside, offering care and attention to someone who may need support.
3. Walk Beside Him
Through honest conversation, shared faith, and consistent presence, we aim to walk alongside this man and show him he’s not alone.
4. Multiply
As we disciple and support one man, the hope is that he will be encouraged to do the same for another, multiplying faith, hope, and healing throughout our communities.
